Search engines have two major functions:

(one) crawling and building an index, and (two) providing search users with a ranked list of the websites they've determined are the most relevant.

To a search engine, ‘relevance’ means more than finding a page with the right words. Hundreds of factors influence relevance. Search engines typically assume that the more popular a site, page, or document, the more valuable the information it contains must be. Popularity and relevance aren’t determined manually. Instead, the engines employ mathematical equations (algorithms) to sort what is relevant, and then rank that relevance in order of popularity.

These algorithms often encompass hundreds of variables, also referred to as “ranking factors.”

One main aspect of SEO in particular, keyword usage, is one of the best ways to optimize a page's rankings to ensure that the keywords you want to rank for are in fact being notably used in titles, text, and metadata. As the engines crawl and index  (like Charlotte and her web) the contents of pages around the web, they keep track of those pages in keyword-based indexes rather than storing nearly 5 billion web pages all in one database.

The Value of SEO

With so many inquiries beginning with a Google search, it is critical for you to be highly visible in that search engine. Climbing and reaching the coveted top organic placement on Google should be an important goal for your website. By proving your site as a top relevant resource due to the words and phrases that define your business, you will gradually see your desired measurable results.

When you invest in SEO, you will see a multitude of benefits.

Higher search rankings: Your web pages will appear more frequently and in higher positions on SERPs (search engine results pages);

Increased organic traffic: More visitors will land on your web pages through search engines (so you don’t have to pay for traffic);

Increased brand awareness and authority: Your brand will appear more frequently which increases your visibility and leads to your website being used as a resource by other websites and publishers;

Increase in number of leads and sales: As your website appears in front of a larger audience, it becomes a silent salesperson that can collect leads and drive sales from online searchers;

Lasting results: When you improve a site’s SEO, the work often creates long-term improvements and compounding returns that can get better over time.

Why SEO?

93% of online experiences begin with a search. 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results. Search is the #1 driver of traffic to content sites, beating social media by more than 300%. SEO leads have a 14.6% close rate, while outbound leads, such as mailers and flyers, have a 1.7% close rate.

SEO is a vital tool in building and growing your company's online presence, but it is not a one-time project that will give your brand a lasting boost.

SEO is a long-term practice that works best over time. SEO strategies that are implemented today should be given at least six months to show results. Once that value kicks in, strategies continue to work.

Case Studies

The problem was consistent for all of our SEO clients. They weren't being found and they need more applicants, registrations, or purchase orders.

While there were other options of all of our clients to consider, such as mailers, e-blasts, and newsletters, they all ultimately rejected the traditional route, understanding that they needed to be where their audiences were — online!

With each client, we have seen outstanding results. For a teaching school/hospital, they went from an empty inbox to seeing an overwhelming amount of interest and registration, flooding their email. A premier summer camp saw an 8% increase in their camper registration, a number they hadn't seen in years. A testing company was able to stop all other forms of advertising on Google and social media, saving them thousands of dollars per month.

Your website is like your home and SEO is like your mortgage. To keep your home well-manicured and welcoming, you need to pay your monthly dues, and we're here to be your handywomen.
